The B.I.G. Wine Company is also available to create bespoke wine events, training and tastings which will be hosted by founder Christina Pretty or our visiting wineries.

Christina’s career in wine started at 14 years old with a flood – her first vintage from her family’s vines in France flooded her mother’s kitchen. Undeterred, Christina decided to learn more about Wine & Spirits and is now qualified to make wine in the UK.

However, Christina was eager to discover the flavours of the wines of the world so put professional winemaking on hold and joined the UK’s top PR agency representing wineries from all corners of the globe including Chile, California, France, Italy, Moldova and Australia. Working directly with the winemakers to learn each brand’s winemaking techniques, Christina’s highlight was discovering her favourite wine in the depths of Northern Italy.

Christina’s journey of discovery then led her to Asia over 16 years ago, following in her family’s footsteps some 130 years earlier. Based in Singapore, Christina has been responsible for marketing some of the world’s most famous and award-winning wines across South-East Asia including Beringer, Penfolds and Wolf Blass. To date, Christina has developed a wine education programme, has been awarded both her Certified Specialist in Wine and Introductory Sommelier qualifications, and is a regular speaker and trainer in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
